Finished at last ... sweet melancholy Lady - Dolce malinconia

ENG: This little painting has been inspired by the Smell tapestry, belonging to the Lady and the Unicorn tapestry series, woven in XV century. Tapestry has only been a suggestion while painting, since I love medieval style (and I guess it still is a medieval style, even if the tapestry was born by the end of Middle Age). I do not wish to say one more word: I prefer leaving room for the watcher to imagine and fantasize while looking at this painting...
ITA: Ho dipinto questo piccolo quadro ispirandomi all'arazzo dell'odorato, appartenente alla serie degli arazzi noti sotto il nome "La Dama con L'Unicorno", intessuti alla fine del XV secolo.
Il dipinto differisce dall'arazzo cui si ispira per molti aspetti, tanto da poter dire che quest'ultimo è stato "solo" una suggestione che ha guidato i pennelli mentre dipingevo.
Non amo spiegare troppo di quello che ho realizzato dipingendo, così lascio a chi leggerà questo post di guardare il quadro, e trarre le sue conclusioni, o fantasticherie... che è poi uno dei piaceri dell'ammirare i quadri ....
